![]() If I tick 'fill the gap', a message error appears ( No closed bounds), and if I don't, it merely add a few points at a distance from the object.ĭo you think that I can do what I intend to and do you have some insight about it ? Here is also a snapshot of the kind of object I am working with.Īgain, sorry for imprecisions, and thanks in advance for your help. I came across the 3D Offset tool, but it bear absolutely no fruit for now. We describe a case revision hip surgery as a consequence of neglected bipolar hemiarthroplasty dislocation in which a 44 mm offset long stem was exchanged by a shorter and smaller size 37.5 mm offset stem. ![]() Basically, what could work for me, I think, is to create an outer skin to the object (and then substract it using some boolean operation). The different geometry of different-offset Exeter long stems can be a problem with this technique. In the sketcher workbench you can use the External Geometry tool to bring edges from a body into your sketch. For example, if my initial object was a cylinder, I would like to obtain a tube of inner diameter the outer diameter of the cylinder. Hello, Im very new to FreeCAD, coming from Fusion 360, and a tool that I really liked to use was one that allowed me to select a face of a body, and then project said face to a sketch. Here is my issue : I have a 3D object that represents the inside of a channel (a biological one), with some degree of tortuosity, and what I want is to get another object that represents an outer "skin" of the first one (with some thickness). And finally, english isn't my native language but I'll do my best ! I originally tried to solve my problem on Onshape, and turned to FreeCAD some days ago. First of all, apologies if it is not in the good format or place as I am fairly new to FreeCAD, or if this has been answered already - though I looked for an answer and didn't really find one.
